Happy Friday everyone! This morning, a few fellow “warriors” and I had an instagram live planned to discuss the recently published memoir by Lena Dunham titled False Labor. It appeared in Harper’s magazine. You can read it here if you’re not familiar with it.

It should come as no surprise to any who know who I am or have followed my business that I am a proud infertility warrior, as well as advocate.

This piece struck a cord with me, and others upon initially reading it.

However, being the emotional protector that I tend to be, I decided to sit on it for a bit before asking a few fellow warriors to come together with me to share their perspectives.

As I mentioned earlier, this was supposed to be an IG Live but, we had a few technical difficulties. We course corrected as best as we could on the fly, and hopped over to Zoom and recored today’s discussion.

We heard some really thought provoking perspectives as well as kindness for her position. I hope.

You can watch the video by clicking this link and using the password warrior.

We mention a few other’s views on the video so I want to make sure you have their info as well.

On the panel we have Rachel McMullan a secondary infertility and birth trauma survivor who believes infertility and its pain can last from trying to parenthood. Her Instagram handle @motherhood_after_infertility, Kasia Stachon McGuire is a fertility and mindset coach from Chicago. She is an infertility and endo warrior. You can find her website here and her Instagram handle is @kasiasmcguire. Lastly we have Madison Gaucher. Madison is the founder of the virtual support group Sunny Side Up, which you can find here. Her instagram handle is @sunnysideupnyc.

Some of the accounts we mention on the discussion are (all instagram handles): @marilynbgomez, @memyselfmillie, @thefertilitytribe, and @infertilityandmepodcast.

I’ve enabled comments on this blog, as well as on my Instagram post for this video as well. Let’s continue this discussion in a kind and respectful way.
